There are some things we can plant in our COCG public spaces, and others that are banned so please check the list below before planting. We recommend checking our hardiness zone compatibility, sticking with annuals, and looking into the behaviors of your plants to make sure they play well with others (mint or ivies for example do not which is why they made the naughty list). 

Plants that seeds, like sunflowers, are not allowed in most community gardens. Their stalks are also not compatible with composting so require removal and proper disposal at the end of the season.  Please check with your coordinator about the rules in your garden about this one.
